Vertical Assembly of Boiler Feed Element
To improve pump efficiency and extend pump life, Hydro engineers developed a vertical assembly method using a specially designed assembly pit. This new method allowed the use of much tighter running clearances which restored pump efficiency and improved pump life. Shown above is the vertical assembly of a barrel boiler feed pump rotating element.
